Led Matrix Interfacing with PIC18F4550???

Hello!!! I have to display the Scrolling message on to the Led Matrix..
I have to connect 4-Led Matrix. I am using 74HC595 Serial to Parallel Converter.

Firstly i am checking only single matrix:-

I display ARUN SHARMA in scrolling fashion on led matrix.
Its working fine in Protesu but not working properly in real hardware.

Can any one tell me why such display is coming.
What i thought is that Current in not sinking properly i am using ULN2803 for sinking.
I don't know how to solve this problem.

NOTE:-
I used 220ohm resistor for limiting current when connecting 74HC595 with Led Matrix
The video shown above is the result of that.

When i used 10K resistance the display is very light and is not visible properly.
Any Suggestion Please.

595+ uln 2803 is ok .these are for column data and it produce a current sinking action . But you have to provide enough current to the rows using a source driver . Most suitable is APM 4953 mosfet or use suitable TIP transistor
